Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment

We at infusion wellbeing use the best and safest technology to remove tattoos. We use the ND:YAG Q – switch laser. This laser can safely and effectively remove tattoos, permanent makeup and skin pigmentation such as age spots, sunspots, birthmarks and thread veins. There is no better treatment for your skin in order to remove a tattoo efficiently. There are other remedies you may have considered, such as: creams, surgery, dermabrasion, etc. However, all of these methods come with their own risks and won’t get you results like laser tattoo removal can. Get your free consultation booked in with our experts today and get started.

Tattoo ink particles are too big for the body’s immune system to remove naturally as the tattoo pigment is injected to the lower layers of the skin which is called the dermis. Once the ink is in the dermis, the skin can’t get rid of it naturally as it’s too deep and it becomes locked away by a wall of collagen fibres.

Benefits of Laser Tattoo Removal

No Scarring

Many customers may worry about the chance of scarring from the laser. However, the chances of scarring are minimal as the laser light is made so it doesn’t leave scarring and will not tamper with any of your healthy skin cells.

Safe

Just because it involves laser technology, does not mean it is dangerous. In fact, it is one of the safest ways to remove a tattoo, which is why we think it is the most effective. Other techniques that people use can lead to infection, whereas the laser tattoo removal process does not lead to this, just like all our laser treatments at IWB.

Quick Recovery

To much surprise, the recovery process is fairly quick. There isn’t a great amount of redness after treatment. What you do need to know is that after treatment, for a few days, you will need to protect your skin from UV radiation. Our clinic professionals will guide you through the post treatment process.

Removes Specific Areas & Full Tattoos

The great thing about laser tattoo removal is that the laser technology is able to remove specific areas of a tattoo that you are not happy with. This means that you don’t have to worry about your whole tattoo being ruined just because of one segment. Simply remove the past you don’t like using our laser treatment.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

How our laser works is that the Q- switch laser produces very short bursts of high energy laser light. The light is absorbed by the large ink particles (the tattoo) generating heat that then shatters the tattoo

pigment into tiny particles which the body is able to remove into the waste system. Because only the tattoo ink absorbs the laser energy, the surrounding skin doesn’t overheat and there is no lasting damage.

Laser Tattoo Removal Procedure

Each session you have can typically last anywhere from 15 minutes, up to an hour. Of course in some cases it may be more or less but this is the average.

The treatment area will be numbed in order to lessen the amount of pain you will feel. This will not guarantee all pain is lost, but it will help. Once this is done and you are given the appropriate safety gear, i.e goggles, it’s time to laser!

The laser will send out a huge pulse of energy, which heats your tattoo ink up enough to dissolve it. It is a really clever process. The laser will go over the whole tattoo each session, in order to remove it more and more each time.

The same process is repeated every time you have a session. The more you have, the easier it is to get used to the discomfort.

Do You Need Laser Tattoo Removal?

If you want to get rid of a tattoo that you aren’t happy with and want to do so safely, then the chances are you will benefit from getting your tattoo removed using our treatment process. If you still need convincing, then speak to our experts in our Milton Keynes centre who will not only guide, but comfort you through the process.

How Often Is Each Laser Tattoo Removal Appointment?

The length between tattoo removal sessions really depends on how long it takes your skin to heal. Typically, we advise appointments every 6-8 weeks. However, it could be longer if your skin has not healed.

Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt?

We find that the main issue that puts people off getting laser tattoo removal is the pain. People are worried that they won’t be able to sit through a whole session. We cannot guarantee that the sessions will be pain-free. In fact, the chances are, some pain or discomfort may be felt during the tattoo removal treatment (you can thank your tattoo artist for this).

What we will say is that it does depend on the individual. If you have a strong pain threshold, then you are less likely to feel uncomfortable during the process. Different areas of the body will also hurt more. As you can imagine, a tattoo being removed on your neck is a lot more painful than your arm. If we could describe the pain, we would say it is like having a rubber band snapped against your arm constantly.

Will Laser Tattoo Removal Show Great Results on Everyone?

If you have a dark skin tone, then this treatment may not be the best option for you. The reason for this is because it could leave what we call a “ghosting” effect. This will make the skin look lighter, where the removal has happened, in comparison to the rest of your skin. It’s important you’re aware of this prior to your session. If you are in need of advice, then please speak to our Milton Keynes experts who can provide the answers you need.

What Else Can the ND: YAG Q Switch Laser Remove?

Pigmentation

Laser pigmentation is a safe treatment that reduces the appearance of not only pigmentation, but also freckles, acne and age spots. This treatment is beneficial if you are worried about facial scarring or freckles that may be bothering you. The laser does not effect the surrounding skin either, so it is highly effective.

Thread Vein Removal

At Infusion Wellbeing, we offer a permanent solution to removing thread veins. Thanks to our laser technology, our specialists are able to remove thread veins with ease and stop them coming back. There are many ways that thread veins can be caused and some clients say they have a negative affect on their body confidence, which is why we are here to help. Also, the procedure isn’t considered to be that painful, it all depends on your pain threshold!

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are extremely common in both men and women, they can appear for a number of reasons. Stretch marks can be slightly raised and a red/purple colour. Over time, they can begin to fade, however they might not disappear permanently as they normally begin to turn a silver colour. Stretch marks can be removed, thanks to our laser stretch mark removal treatment. It is best to get these stretch marks removed when you first notice them because the newer they are, the easier they are to remove.

Liver Spots

Removing liver spots is fairly simple, all it takes is a treatment using our ND: YAG Switch Laser. The procedure will typically last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, it all depends on the size of the spots. If you are concerned about your liver spots and are thinking about getting them removed, please contact our specialists who can guide you through the process. After the procedure, the affected area can be sore for a few days after, this is completely normal. Once the pain has eased, that area of skin will be free from further liver spots.

Birth Marks

If you are unhappy with any of your birth marks and would like them removed, then at our Milton Keynes clinic, we can do just that. For the best results, we recommend a series of treatments. In total, the process can take up to 6 weeks to permanently remove a birth mark.

The two types of birth marks we are able to remove include: vascular birthmarks (mainly occur on the face and neck area) and pigmented birthmarks (anywhere on the body).
