Milton Keynes Clinic

Professional massage treatments from our clinic in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

Massage Treatments

We offer Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, lymphatic drainage and a number of specialist massage treatments. Some use firmer pressure to work on areas of muscular tension, while others use gentler techniques with a greater focus on relaxation.

If you’re unsure which massage to book, speak to our team and we’ll explain the differences and help you choose the most appropriate treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage

A firmer massage using slower, focused techniques to work on areas of muscular tension, particularly the back, shoulders and neck.

Lava Shells Massage

A warming massage using smooth, heated shells alongside hands-on massage techniques to provide warmth while working across the muscles.

Detox Massage

A gentler massage using flowing techniques and lighter pressure than a typical deep tissue treatment. A good option if you prefer a more relaxing style of massage.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A specialist massage using gentle, rhythmic movements associated with lymphatic drainage rather than deep pressure.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage adapted specifically for pregnancy, taking into account your stage of pregnancy, positioning and comfort throughout the treatment.

Swedish Full Body Massage Treatment

A traditional full-body massage using flowing techniques with pressure adjusted to your preference. A good choice if your main reason for booking is relaxation.

Bamboo Massage

A full-body treatment that combines hands-on massage with the use of bamboo sticks to apply pressure and work across the muscles.

Scalp Massage Treatment

A focused massage of the scalp and surrounding areas. Available as either a 30-minute or 60-minute treatment.

Benefits of Massage

Different massage techniques use different levels of pressure and ways of working with the muscles. The right treatment will depend on what you want from your appointment, the pressure you prefer and any areas you’d like your therapist to concentrate on.

Relaxation

Swedish, Lava Shells and other gentler treatments use flowing massage techniques and are well suited to clients looking primarily for relaxation. Pressure can be adjusted throughout the appointment to keep the treatment comfortable.

Muscular Tension

Firmer treatments such as deep tissue massage allow the therapist to work more specifically on areas that feel tight or tense, commonly including the back, neck and shoulders.

Tailored Pressure and Treatment

Your therapist will discuss the treatment with you before starting, including the pressure you prefer and any areas you’d like them to concentrate on. You can also ask for the pressure to be adjusted at any point during the massage.

Which Massage Should I Choose?

The right massage largely depends on the type of treatment and pressure you prefer.

For Relaxation

Swedish Massage or Lava Shells Massage use gentler techniques and are good options when relaxation is your main priority.

For Firmer Pressure

Deep Tissue Massage uses slower, firmer techniques and can focus more closely on areas of muscular tension.

During Pregnancy

Pregnancy Massage is adapted around your stage of pregnancy, positioning and comfort.

For Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses light, rhythmic movements rather than the deeper pressure used in some other massage treatments.

For Two People

Couples Massage allows two people to have their treatments at the same time.

For People Living With or Recovering From Cancer

Made for Life Cancer Touch Therapy is a specialist treatment delivered by therapists who have completed the relevant training.

If you’re unsure, contact us before booking. We can explain the treatments and help you decide which appointment is appropriate.

FAQs

It is recommended that you get a massage at least once a month for the number of benefits above. However, one could get massages as much as every other day, depending on what the problem is.

We advise getting massages every week until you start seeing results, and then either weekly or fortnightly after that.

You may feel stiffness or discomfort a couple of days after your massage, but after that benefits may last anytime between 2 days and weeks. Most people notice results lasting for around a week.

The more often you get treatments, the stronger the results.
